Our story

The company L. Antoniou Homemade Pastries, known as Lydia’s, is a family business founded by Lydia Antoniou in 1985. Its story began about two years earlier, when Lydia, from her home kitchen, started making birthday tall cakes, the classic American birthday cakes with designs and decorations made of colorful buttercream exclusively for friends. Word of mouth, the fame of the beautiful and delicious cakes reached the ears of Gerasimos Vassilopoulos, the founder of the well-known super market chain AB Vassilopoulos. Excited by their originality, he offered her a permanent place for her cakes, in the pastry shop of his largest store at the time, in Faros of Psychiko. Burger Buns

Our burger buns are carving out their own legendary path, as a canvas for the chefs of the country’s best restaurants and burger houses.

The production of our Ciabatta takes 36 hours to complete. The slow ripening times guarantee enjoyment to those who try it.

Toast Bread

Toast bread as it should be. Kneaded with olive oil, it holds its volume in the toaster and offers a unique flavor that testifies to its slow maturation. If you don’t make your own bread, you should try it.

Bagels

Authentic boiled bagels made the traditional New York way. Our bagels have been made the exact same way since 1987.

Danish Pastries

Danish pastries have been around for generations. Coffee Ring first hit the shelves of major supermarkets in 1986 and has never stopped.

Cakes

Mixed, vanilla chocolate, cocoa, lemon from our garden, low fat. Our cakes are offered in wholesale markets and make a difference.
