Lydia ‘s is committed to producing and marketing Dough Products and Confectionery, fully compliant with specific specifications and requirements, for the complete and continuous satisfaction of its customers, which are quality-tested before delivery. Through the harmonious cooperation of all stakeholders (management, staff, partners/subcontractors, suppliers, customers following bilateral agreements on Food Safety) it ensures the successful completion of its work. The company is committed to communicating with all stakeholders on Food Safety issues, as well as to disclosing this policy to all interested parties. Food safety, quality and consistency lead the business to long-term benefits, which are always more important than short-term ones. To meet the above, the company has installed and implemented a Food Safety Management System (FSMS), which includes all the company’s processes that affect food safety. The system is monitored, maintained and improved through inspection, evaluation and review programs. It is designed to emphasize prevention, without underestimating corrective action mechanisms when non-compliance with requirements is detected. The LIMS software (Lydia’s ISO Monitoring Software), developed specifically for the needs of the company, enables all staff to participate in quality assurance processes and in updating dozens of daily records and controls, while at the same time making the traceability of any raw material and final batch extremely fast in case of need. At the same time, the company ensures the professional competence of the Food Safety Team, the relevant personnel, as well as its external partners, who influence Food Safety performance and the overall performance of the system. The achievement of the objectives is achieved with modern know-how, compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, compliance with market and competition conditions, with the employment of appropriately trained personnel, with auxiliary functions and with the provision of the necessary resources (i.e. moral and material means), with continuous awareness and information on Food Safety issues. The more specific objectives per function of the company are established and reviewed through Management Reviews. All of the above guarantees compliance with the requirements for Food Safety according to the ISO FSSC22000 ver.6 standard , as well as the company’s commitment to continuous improvement of the system.
